Needs an experts eye

Jul 07, 2017

Hello Heros,

I have a task where the user must select from a group of symptoms, and then take that limited (selected) list and select again.  At that point they must use this list to do a task.

I built it with layers and then variables, but the problem arises when people go back and forth. The set of variables stay checked and mess it up.

Perhaps I'm choosing the wrong methodology? I need an expert!

Here is the published work and I'll attach the

Hi Cynthia

can you walk me through how it works or how you want it to work.

I select my check boxes, then the layer displays showing me my selection, then I select again.

What should happen if I click the Prev button when I am on the final selection layer?

What should happen if I click the rewind button when I am on the final selection layer?

Basically the screens/layers need to reset to their previous state (nothing checked) if they go backwards or press the reload button (from the middle slide).

We can delete the reload button if that helps make things easier. I think my issue is that I used variables which are not resetting to initial state when I go backwards.

That's correct Cynthia unless you manually trigger the variables they won't reset - so you would need on both reload and prev buttons if you want the deck cleared triggers to set variable x to false when user clicks button and do that for all variables - (now would be a good time for a reset all variables trigger - lol).
