I received and viewed the video talking about the new features in 360. The video showed that 360 could "Print to Video", and added a new Course Completion Wizard. Unfortunately, my company is unable to use 360, and uses SL3. Are these features going to be added to SL3?
The new features of Publish to video and Course Completion Trigger are only being released for Storyline 360 right now, and are not slated for inclusion in Storyline 3.
Since Storyline 360 is part of Articulate 360, which is an annual subscription service, it’ll provide you with continuous feature updates to Storyline (unlike Storyline 3).
And again, I go back to my statement, my company's security requirements do not allow us to purchase 360. After seeing Articulate release a Text-to-Speech feature late last year, now this to 360 and not to 3, makes those of us, who use 3 feel like 2nd-class customers.
Create and edit closed captions right in Storyline 3.
Storyline 3 now supports XLIFF 1.2 and 2.0, which work with more translation tools and give translators more information.
We'll be certain to let folks know if there are other new features added to Storyline 3, and we'll also keep you posted on bug updates too (one of which is scheduled for later this quarter).
Because Articulate 360 is a subscription, we're able to roll out new features continuously. That being said, Storyline 360 will always be up-to-date and will include features that aren't in our perpetual versions.
Audrey - For Text-to-Speech, we use Natural Reader as a stand-alone product, and since we also have products built with Captivate, we also use it to create the narration, and we have corporate desktop licenses on both products.
If you need to chat with our Sales team about exchanging Storyline 3 for Articulate 360 (which would include Storyline 360) you can reach out to them here or email them at Sales@articulate.com.
I opened my version of Storyline 3 this morning and was informed there is a new update available to download. I was extremely disappointed seeing that Text-to-Speech was not included as part of this update, since Storyline 360 and Storyline 3 are essentially the same product, and it has been available for 360 users for the past 7 months. For those of us who are unable to utilize 360 due to corporate security requirements, it forces us to use a competitor's product, such as Captivate, or utilize a stand-alone product, such as Natural Reader. It is frustrating to us, when the community has been asking for this since the release of SL2. Again, I go back to my earlier statement of feeling like a 2nd-class customer.
The public have spoken!! This TTS should be a default feature in Storyline3. I have no intention of upgrading to 360 and feel I have paid enough for S3 for this to be added.

Hi Jeff,
I'm sorry to hear that, it's certainly not our intent.
Storyline 3 is supported and has received a few new features since it's release such as:

Jeff,
I am in the same boat. I just purchase Storyline3 thinking it would have publish to video and text to voice. I wish I had looked here more in depth.
So now I am stuck. I am looking for text to speech software if anyone has suggestions. Everything is subscription based and that is difficult here.
As far as publish to video, I am using record screen to make an MP4. It is not the best quality, but it will do for now.

Have a look at Amazon Polly. I was impressed and the fees are really low.
