New With Sliders

I am using a slider to show auto depreciation. I figured out how to make it subtract if the slider is moved; however, if the user moves it forward and it subtracts, then they move the slider back to the original position, I can't figure out how to make it add the number back.
For example, I have a car costing $21,500. When the user moves the slider to the right it will subtract $800. If the user then moves the slider back, it will not add the $800 to bring it back to $21,500.

I'm not quite sure if that's what you want, but have a look at the attached. I'm assuming that your slider has only two positions.
Hi, Sara -- Thanks for your question, and would you like to share your file so others in the community can share their advice and ideas? You are also welcome to take a look at this info on Adding Sliders, and you may find this resource on 60+ Examples of Interactive Sliders in E-Learning #52 to be helpful, as well! :)
Thanks! I attached the example.
Thanks for sharing your file, Sara! I'd be happy to take a look for you tomorrow morning, but I wanted to note in case you weren't aware that you are also welcome to reach out for design-related advice and input over here in the Building Better Courses forum, as well. :)
Thank you! I was unaware of that.
Hi, Sara -- thanks again for providing your file and I think you may want to check out this thread on what seems to be making a similar request to have multiple sliders on a single page result in 1 'total' for all. Hopefully that helps, and if not, I can't wait to see what others in the community can advise! :)
Sara,
Try this. I have put all the triggers in it. You will have to design the mileage slider, setting the start point, the number of steps, the range, and the legend.
That is really helpful! I struggled with this all day yesterday and couldn't figure out how to make it so that it would reset to the original amount when the slider was moved. I could only figure out how to do that by adding an extra button (see attached if interested).
I see that you were able to do that by creating an additional variable that would serve as the original amount (21,500) and set calculate equal to that. This solves my problem. Thank you for putting the time and effort into this!!
you're welcome and good luck with your project.
