Newbie question about local content delivery vs online delivery

Jul 11, 2017

Hi, this might a simple question but we're an e-learning company that specializes in training manufacturer workers. Alot of our customers prefer to not let their employees onto the internet (old school I know). Is it possible to do a local install of our content onto their server but still keep the record keeping in the cloud? Maybe with periodic logins by an admin to push training history data to the LMS.

And then can the local server delivered training look and feel like it was online i.e. browser interface?

Hopefully this isn't too stupid of a question. Thank you for any help.

EDIT: Should have noted that we have converted our library to Articulate Storyline 360.

Hello Scott and welcome to E-Learning Heroes!

You can certainly publish your Storyline 360 content for local viewing. You can check out some documentation here.

Tracking without an LMS or utilizing a database is not a supported functionality by Articulate, but hopefully someone in the community can chime in with some ideas  and suggestions to do so.
