No sound in Safari desktop on slide after a video

I'm so frustrated I hope someone can help!  I am using Storyline (All up to date as of today) have a slide with a video and then the next slide has voiceover - but the voiceover works on every browser but Safari desktop (it works in Safari mobile)!!  It works in every other browser. 

  • If I re-start the slide - the Voiceover runs fine.
  • I've tried creating a trigger to make it start, but that doesn't work either.  
  • the video slide automatically advances as soon as the video is done.
  • I've cleared my safari history multiple times.

The crazy thing.. is that I have an English and French version of the video and it ONLY has issues on the French version - which is just a copy of the English!!

I'm also having the same experience with the second slide's audio not playing in desktop Safari version 14.0 | macOS Catalina version 10.15.6. Looks like you're already working with Ji Yun in a support case on some next steps, excellent! 

There may be something specific to this setup. To test this theory, could you share your browser and iOS versions?
