I have several slides that are about the same topic, but with different content and notes. I wanted to set them up as layers rather than separate slides but I need the notes (which will be visible in the left panel) to be different on each layer. Is there a way to do this? Thanks.
If you're referring to the 'notes' tab on the player, unfortunately you cannot add different notes to appear on different layers. There are a fe work arounds- such as adding the text on screen in a text box or scrolling panel (see Mike's link above)
But if you definitely need the text in the notes tab there are limited workarounds. What I've done for a recent project is duplicate slides, creating a fake lightbox effect and adding the relevant text in the notes panel. That way the learner believes they are still on the same page but they are able to see the relevant notes in the notes tab.

Hi Lynn! I am assuming you want these notes displayed on screen right? There are a few different ways you could to that. Tom goes over about a couple of them here: http://www.articulate.com/support/kb_article.php?product=st1&id=1keancorydu4

Hopefully this makes sense and is useful.
The client simply uses the notes panel but these are great ideas for alternatives. Thanks. Lynn
