I have a table in SL2 made of numeric entry fields and the user has to input the correct values and then press a 'calculate' button, that either lets them try again, congratulates them or corrects all inputs. Can I somehow not let the user see the correct values if they left a field with no input?
Can you make a trigger to check if any of the fields are blank, or if they still equal their default values? Can you post a sample project so we can see what you're trying to do?
This would work just fine, but how do you make a trigger to check of a field is blank? I can only see conditions for value of something already input. Their default values are blank.
I've attached a sample project file. For the numeric fields, I've made is check for a value of zero. Anything else (like -1) displays in the field. Does this work for you?
Michael, thanks for your suggestions, but this is not what I'm after. I have attached a sample page from the project for you to check the interaction. What I need to do from here on is to not let the user see the correct answers if they had not input anything in any of the 3 fields. In other words, they need to populate the boxes with what they think is the correct number before being allowed to see the solution.
Ok, check out the project I attached. I added one trigger that shows your "NO INPUT" layer if any of the 3 fields equals 0. Is that what you were trying to do?
No :) Sometimes 0 is the correct value. I hacked it by adding a trigger that hides the NO INPUT layer if all fields have values smaller than infinity (largest value number but it works). Thanks again for your input.

I was wondering that myself, didn't know if we could use zero... Good you found a workaround though. :)
