objects and timelines

A timeline is for each slide or layer.  Based on what you said, you could create a second slide instead of a second layer.  Slide 1 runs for 6 seconds and then slide two begins.  The oval would then appear 1 second after slide 2 begins.

Problem with creating another slide in this case is that I have voiceover. As the voiceover is read, I want the layers and their associated objects to appear.

I still can't get an object on a layer to appear:(

I tried to drag the object on the timeline to the left to 1 sec. and I also tried 6 sec.. It still doesn't appear.
