I am not sure what I am doing wrong. I can never get the web objects to open when they are published. Here is my storyline doc. Maybe you can tell me what I am doing wrong.
I published and uploaded your file to my webserver. You have the setting to open the web object when clicked - which when I did that it returned the correct website.
You'll want to change this option from 'when clicked' to 'Automatically' if you need it display without the user clicking it.
But when I publish it to Scorm cloud, I just get a blank screen. It doesn't matter if I have it set for automatically or when clicked. I am using Chrome, if that is the issue then I can't use it anyway because I have to have the course useable on all browsers.
Hi- I am having a similar problem. I have tried all of the solutions, but none off them seem to work. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. 1. I want the learner to click an image and have that open up a website inside the course so they don't have to leave to another window. This will be published as a SCORM file to an LMS. The website I'm trying to embed is: https://www.cms.gov/medicare-coverage-database/overview-and-quick-search.aspx. Can anyone help me with this?
I tried to go through the process of embedding a web object using the link you shared, and I found myself running into the same issue when I clicked Test Link.
It seems the hosting website doesn't allow viewing in an iFrame.
A typical example of a website that won't work as an embedded web object is Facebook.
You can still use a website that doesn't support iframes in your Storyline course; you'll just have to set the web object to display in a new browser window.
