pass avariable from html5 to Storyline

I have an html5 created in adobe captivate, with a variable named "unLockNext" set to value 0.

I bring that Html5 in to Storyline, then I try to  get that variable from the html into storyline

my code in storyline = execute javascript when variable changes

var player = GetPlayer();

player.GetVar("unLockNext");

any help or suggestions Would be greatly appreciated

Not sure if you are still working on this as it's been a while but I wanted to reach out to see if we can find a solution for you. Do you mind providing us a bit more information on this?

1. How are you storing the variable in your HTML5? Is this a JavaScript variable?

2. How are you bringing this HTML5 into your Storyline project? Are you using Insert Web Object or using another method?

If you are able to share your .story file this would be helpful.
