Hi Carol,

There isn't a way to stop Storyline from preloading as it's described here. There may be folks in the community who could share an unsupported method - so hopefully they'll be able to chime in here and share with you. 

Is this an issue that they just don't want to wait a long time for the course to start? (As overall the bandwidth usage would be the same even if there wasn't a preloader)

Agree with Paul if they complete the course they will download the same file size with or without a preloader.  You could disable this by only making the HTML5 version available

Thanks for the help. They don’t want the entire SCORM to preload at the start of the course. They want it to load page by page only. the stores have been limited to 100kb download at a time. Our pages are within this range, but obviously the entire SCORM is not. The SCORM must preferably load page by page.

There isn't a way that I am aware of to change this in the Storyline published output, so I'll defer to the community for any additional ideas or assistance in how to set this up.
