Good morning
I have problems since the last update with the color palette.
if I select an object and I open the color palette from the format menu, I can select a color, the object immediately changes color but as soon as my cursor leaves the palette, we return to the previous color. Am I the only one having this problem?
THANKS
Wow! The color of an object reverting to its previous color after changing it is definitely not expected in Storyline 360! I’m happy to get this sorted out with you! I have a few follow-up questions regarding the situation so I can understand what you are experiencing a little better.
Which version of Storyline are you using? I am using Storyline version 3.73.29904.0.
Is this happening in one file or is this happening regularly?
I’ve attached a Story file that I created Storyline 360. I was able to change the color of the objects and have the changes stay. Do you mind opening it on your end to see if you notice the same behavior?
Thanks for reaching out and I look forward to your response!
hello Jean
sorry for my late answer
I just tried your file and very quickly, the problem appears also . suddenly it works and suddenly it doesn't work anymore.
in fact, if I select an object, I open the color palette, I select a color, then the color is applied immediately to the object BUT, as soon as my cursor leaves the contour of the palette, the object resumes its initial color (see photo)
as you can see in the photo of my screen; the object is blue whereas I have just selected it in light orange. it turned blue again as soon as my cursor left the palette!!
help this is a real problem
Good morning
two clarifications
1) if you choose the color directly in the upper zone of the palette, there is no problem!! it's only when you click on the small squares
2) I'm not the only one having this problem at my job.
So for those of us who had already lined up our organization brand custom colors as those small squares at the bottom previously -- we're just out of luck? This is a huge time waster. I guess until Articulate fixes this issue I have to enter a hex code every time. I mean, it's completely random to have to click inside the upper color window to "find" the custom color you had already taken time to line up in your saved colors. What's up Articulate? How come we can't get basic feature requests for over 10 years and now we have to deal with a broken one we didn't even ask for?
I do experience the same problem, also when applying gradients or applying transparency.
What I experienced in this regard is that if you change the color, it will jump back to the previous color. But if you add a little transparency, the new color is applied.
However, the bug is really irritating since one takes some time to get colors applied correctly. Please fix this asap.
I absolutely agree. This should be an urgent update to SL.
I remember when the new color palette was introduced, this bug came along. I then reported the bug and it got fixed with the next update. However, the bug was re-introduced with the February 21 update (Build 3.73.29831.0) I believe.
I guess since it was working before, it should not be a problem to fix this?
I just wanted to give everyone a heads up that the issues described in this thread sounds strikingly similar to a color palette issue we have investigated. I also want to share that we are going to address in the next release of Storyline 360 (Update 74).
I'll circle back here early next week around Tuesday to give a status update.
Mine was doing that, but I found for some reason a single click only shows a 'sample' of the color, if you double click the color in the palette, it 'sticks'.
So glad to hear that! Thanks for sharing the feedback and steps you took to find a workaround for your color palettes! I'm sure other users coming across this thread will find it very helpful!
Since the issue being discussed in this thread was resolved in a previous update of Storyline 360, it would be helpful to have a closer look at your .story file for testing. Or a screen recording of the behavior as you are experiencing it on your end. Feel free to upload those files here in the discussion or privately through a support case.
We'll delete them from our system as soon as troubleshooting is complete!

J'ai oublié de préciser que j'ai (normalement) la dernière version... 3.73.30119.0
Same here. Any solutions yet? The old palette didn't need to be changed. Worked just fine. Please tell the design team.
The problem may lie in the fact that there's no "OK" or anything to click on to confirm a color change. Just "close." Right?

Hello Michel
Hello Francois, Nina and Iris!
Circling back here as promised last week. We just released an update to Storyline (Update 74)
The complete release notes can be found here.
Fixed: Shapes didn't always inherit the new theme color choice.
Please let me know if you continue experiencing the problem after updating and one of our support agents will reach out to you via email.
Hi Michael, that is great news, I already tested it and it seems to work fine now! I hope it stays this way ;-)
Best regards,
Iris
merci Micheal
merci a l'équipe car cela devenait compliqué.
et merci pour la nouvelle version qui intégre enfin la possibilité de mettre un fond sonore en continu. Je l'espérais beaucoup

un peu comme sur l'exemple en PJ

Hope that helps!

This issue is back :(

Hi
As I mentioned below I’m having issue sampling colours which is a feature I use often.
I have tried numerous files with the same result. Please see attached video file of the issue.
Thanks
Hi Mike,
Unfortunately, we're not seeing the video file. Kindly reattach it to this post. Thank you!
