Problem with the "BUCKETS" Matching Drag and Drop slides

Nov 26, 2018

Please see the following link: https://360.articulate.com/review/content/7da47e7e-de68-499c-906b-902032da95b6/review

Under the Buckets matching slides, after users click submit, it should just go to "THIS IS CORRECT ANSWER", then click cont'd button to move on, no matter they got the correct or wrong answer. However, users complained that slide was freezing. Also, I checked off the "NEXT" Button but some users still getting the NEXT button on their screens.

I tried it myself, I couldn't encounter the same issue. I am not sure what is the problem. I am using CHROME Version 70.0.3538.102 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Complaint email:

I am trying to complete the module but I’m not sure if it’s getting completed because it keeps freezing after the bucket question! I’m so frustrated because I’m doing great so far! Ugh I did it 3 times now and it freezes at the same point! What can I do about this!

Hi there, Evelyn!  Thanks for sharing your link.  When I completed the drag-and-drop exercise, clicking Next didn't take me anywhere.  I could use the Menu on the player to advance to the next section, however.

Can you check the triggers on the drag-and-drop slide?  You may need to modify the "jump to slide X" trigger to make this work better.  I would also ask your learner to see if they can use the menu to advance, or if they're truly frozen.

Happy to see the .story file if you'd like to attach it here as well!  If you need to keep it private, upload it here.

I see this question is a little older, but the same issue was recently reported to me with a Storyline 360 assessment. The matching drag and drop question does not advance when the user clicks "next". The trigger is Jump to next slide when user clicks or swipes next. The next slide is the results slide. The assessment/story is published as HTML5 only. I tried the assessment and it did hang/freeze on the matching question in review mode, but not while completing the assessment. Do you have any suggestions for resolving the issue?
