Problems reporting Storyline Quiz in Moodle

Mar 21, 2016

I have a problem with reporting a drag and drop interaction in Moodle. Actually I suspect it is Storyline that is the problem.

I can get Moodle to report a grade perfectly.

But this is the problem.

I have two different drag and drop interactions but the user will only do ONE or the other - not both. When you publish you have to tell Storyline which results slide to report - but I don't know which quiz a user might take.

I have tried combining both results slides into one and reporting that but then I get a 50% score reported even though the ONE quiz taken was 100%. I understand why that would be. But there seems to be no option to ignore a no taken quiz score - you can only ask for 'each quiz to be passed' OR 'combine scores'. Neither does what I want.

I feel sure there must be a workaround? Help?

Hi Chris,

Since Storyline doesn't support tracking more than one result, but it does allow you to combine the scores or set it so that the quizzes have to be passed. If you were using one results slide you could set the passing score to 50% so that way if the user completed one of the drag and drops they'd receive a full passing score.
