Problems saving data

Feb 24, 2015

Hi,

Have any of you ever seen this dialogue-box before?

'The project file could not be saved. Your system appears to be low on memory. Please close any other programs and try Again.'

I have never had any problems saving Storyline-data before, and I got a lot of storage capacity on my PC - so that's not the problem.

Maybe I do something wrong og maybe it's a program (Storyline) failure? Please, enlight me, if you can.

Note, that the problem appeared, when I went from a total of slides at 400 to 600-700 slides.  Could that be part of the problem?

If you got the time, please answer quickly - our new course is to 'take off' in 2 days, thursday 26th. of February 2015.

Kind regards,

Botilla Møller

Hi Botilla,

Are you using Storyline 2 and saving to a local drive as described here? Our team was aware of another saving issue that they corrected in Update 4 of Storyline 2. Do you know what update you're using? You could also look into removing the temp directory files as described here:

  1. Open Windows Explorer, type %temp% in the address field, and press Enter.
  2. When your temp directory opens, press Ctrl+A to select all the temp files, then press the Delete key on your keyboard.
  3. A few temp files may currently be in use that can't be deleted. When prompted, you can skip those.
  4. You can now save your project file.

Please let us know if you are still running into the error.
