Publish to Video - Layers with Timeline Triggers Playing Simultaneously as Base Layer

May 01, 2023

Fairly new here...I have a project that is one scene and some slides have multiple layers on timeline triggers.  The intention is to publish the final project as a video.  The project runs as intended during preview and Review 360.  However, when published as a video, slides with layers and timeline triggers for those layers do not play as intended.  The layers run simultaneously and text-to-speech talks over itself.  See slides 1.18 and 1.20 in the attached project as examples.  The navigation of the published projects has been set to both following slide numbers and next actions to try and resolve the issue.  Both mp4 files have the same errors.  Any assistance is GREATLY appreciated!!!

Hi, Alex!

I have some great news to share. We just released another update for Storyline 360. In Build 3.80.30988.0, we've included important fixes and new features.

One of the fixes included:

  • Audio from the base layer wouldn't play in published video output when slide layers paused the timeline of the base layer or hid objects on the base layer.

Launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer to take advantage of this update, and click the Update button next to Storyline 360. You'll find our step-by-step instructions here.

Please let me know if you need additional help!
