Publishing

Oct 05, 2020

Hi everyone, we have a question about how to publish our Training materials. Usually we have our current PDF content uploaded within our website but now we are going to start creating learning assets on Articulate, so we are not sure about how to publish those in an interactive format into our community site. Could you please give us a hint?

Hi, Adriana.

First, publish the course for the web. Be sure to publish to your hard drive.

You will get a Storyline output folder that contains files that look like this:

Put that folder of files on your website.

  • You can rename the Storyline output folder as needed. But do not rename any of the files in that folder.
  • There are various ways to upload files to a website, such as using FTP software. Contact your IT folks if you need help.

Use the story.html file to launch the course.

  • You can provide users with the URL to access the course. For example, it might be something like this:  ourwebsite.com/course1/story.html
  • Since your community is familiar with PDFs for training, consider putting the URL to the course within a PDF. For example, the PDF could provide a brief description of the course and then include a clickable link to launch it.

Good luck!
