Publishing Storyline for Student Use WITHOUT an LMS

Aug 25, 2021

I am new to using Articulate and Storyline, and am having trouble finding a way to publish Storyline or Rise 360 for student use, with tracking of completion and grades of the quizzes, without importing it to an LMS. We have an LMS, Canvas, but our team that manages the school's LMS refuse to allow us to import or link Storyline to Canvas. I also don't currently have access to a web server to host the link. Is there another option? I'm working on either getting permission to publish to the LMS or a web server, but in the meantime I'd like to get this up and running for student use.

You could publish to Amazon's S3, but I think you would only get back data on views, probably not grades. You could check, they are always upgrading. But it sounds to me like your school wouldn't allow students to access S3, any way. One wonders why they pay for Canvas, if not to use it for courses.

Hosting on a web server will get it to the hands of the students, but won't get you grades. that's what you need an LMS for. One option is to have students take a screen shot of the result page, and mail it to you.
