Pulsing effect

Dear All,
For a eLearning i need to have some items pulse when mentioned. They need to pulse for a while and the only solution i came up with is to have multiple images in my timeline. So first no highlight, then a picture with highlight then again the picture with no highlight and so on. Now this is a lot of work and i know for sure that there would be a better solution for this. Does anybody know how i could make something pulse. I also need this same solution for a custom character that is moving while a voice-over is playing. Also for this i use image after image. But i would prefer to have a few images that will loop or something like that over the complete timeline.
Any help is welcome.

Hi Dick!
Since a pulse effect isn't currently a feature, some other community members were throwing around ideas for a workaround in this older thread. Not sure any of them will save you more time than your current method, but it might be worth checking out.

Yes, Dick: I gave that older post a look too. You would think there would be a pulse-like feature, but I think you are doing the best that can be done at this point.
