Question choice by variable

Apr 02, 2014

Hello to this Forum, my name is Mario and I come from German and this is my first written topic and Im not English native, therefore apologize if something isn't correct.

Please let me try to explain my challenge;

We have a package of 20 standard questions and additional 3packages of region(US / Asia / European) questions (10Q per region) and I need to create one LMS-quiz with 3 different content-types depending the regions of the learner.

Therefore my first idea was to created different question banks (Standard-bank / US-bank / Asia-bank / European-bank).

Then I created a start page where you can select your region, based on this selection I created a 3variable (true/false) named like regionUS.

This means when you select in example US the variable regionUS changed value from false to true.

Then I placed the standard-bank and at the final quiz slide runs an evaluation which of the 3variables is true and in this example it jumped to the US bank.

Now I want to create a result slide for our LMS to show me 100% when I answered all 30questions correct but here I struggled.

I cant select during creation the correct bank dependent the variable therefore is there any way to handle this in a better way, maybe all questions in one big package but I dont know how you can set up a condition like show me this question under the condition that the variable regionUS is true and so on.

Any ideas are welcome.

Many Thanks

Mario

Hi Mario and welcome to Heroes!

Since the results slide would either need to track all the questions or track a results slide for each section, you'll likely need to go with the latter. When you set that up, there is some additional customization you'll need to set up since it will provide a cumulative score for the results slides based on the different regions. This thread includes a few different ways to set this up (it's based on picking a language - but the settings will be the same for a quiz that branched based on a region) so you may want to begin by reviewing those and trying them out in your file.

Feel free to post any additional questions back in this thread, or in that thread linked above.
