Questions dissapear

I can't say I've experienced that, no. I agree it does sound a little freaky. Out of curiosity, are you saving your project files to your local hard drive? 

1.  Work on your local drive (your C: drive). Working on a network drive or a USB drive can cause erratic behavior, including file corruption, loss of audio, and other unexpected behavior. 

2. You should also make sure the directory path to your project files and your published output is less than 260 characters (for example C:\Articulate).

3.  Avoid using special characters, accents or symbols in your file names.

Is the 260 limitation something that can be increased by Articulate one day, or is it a physical limit?

Sometimes, by the time you have c:\users\bruce\documents\work\Client_Name\Project_Name etc etc you can get pretty close to this.

Oh how I wish I could answer that question I can totally relate. Even though I tend to be extremely overly organized with my files and file paths, I also end up with some pretty extensive ones. I honestly think it's more of a physical limit, but it's more of an opinion than anything One of these days when I'm a super genius, I may be able to answer that - but at the moment, I'm honestly just not sure. 

Wish I could give you some helpful information, Bruce! If someone has some enlightening information, I'd be interested in it, too.

It's been a long time since I've done Windows training, but my memory is that those are Windows limitations. Just quickly Googled and came up with this:

Maximum Path Length Limitation

In the Windows API (with some exceptions discussed in the following paragraphs), the maximum length for a path is MAX_PATH, which is defined as 260 characters.

Thanks all for the reply.  Come to find out, it was being saved on a network drive, also the file does have a long name, along with a "-" in the name.  

So based on the above all of those could have contributed to the problem. It has now been saved to a local drive with a shortened name.
