I know I've read about this before, but I can't find the content! I have a little simulation that branches depending on which button the user clicks. How do I get the buttons to reset after they've been clicked? I would like all the buttons to appear blank when the learner first sees the screen.

Sounds like you're looking for the "reset to initail state when revisiting" option.
Check the slide properties under the small cog wheel in the lower-right corner of your project
