Random numbers on dice within a 2-person game

Hi, I quickly scanned the "Articulate 360: Advanced Actions" course (LinkedIn Learning) - and will do it properly later this month as it seems like a really great course - but could not find an answer for my challenge.
I am looking for a step-sheet or ANY advice (please) on how to create a game with random number variables? I want to create a game (snakes and ladder) with a dice (random number display) that 2 students can play. And just to make it complicated (for me), if the student answers the pop-up question incorrectly, he or she forfeit their turn to spin the dice! Clearly I have underestimated my Google-capabilities.
I am a very enthusiastic but novice S3 user... ;-)
I know there was a challenge on random number variables that included some of the aspects I am referring to, but I could not find any explanatory notes.

Here is a real quick file where you click a button to generate a random number between 1-12 using built-in features and a var. Real simple example, a start. Based on the random number result you could have a dice show that number based on the value of that var at the time.
