Random timer
Nov 21, 2018
I've been working on a module that shows a truck broken down next to a live road. I think what I created is looking a little distracting right now, but I wanted to show the mechanisms behind what I created. I've removed the rest of the content for reasons :p
Originally the concept just had the words "live road" written on it, but I wanted to simulate traffic. I didn't want to just loop an animation over and over, so I created a random number variable that changes once a car finishes its animation, and made that drive which timer (2, 3, 4, or 5 seconds) would delay the next car passing.

Have I overthought this? How would you have done this? Is it as distracting as I think it is?

I would have added states to the car. These states would show slightly different cars and would be shown, based on the random number (or another random number). Also, I would have used one 1-sec. motionpath animation that is looped x times depending on the random number.
Adding states to the car is the very next thing I did once I posted this hahaha. Good idea on the looping of 1-second motionpath.
