Is it possible to recover/reconstruct the .story (project) file from the SCORM output generated when publishing to LMS via .zip?
We have courses completed by someone no longer with the company we need to edit and cannot find the project files. We do have the zip files used to load the content to our LMS.
Unfortunately there isn't a way to extract a .story file from the published output, so you'd need to either find the original files or rebuild the course. If you have access to the computer they were originally created on, you'll want to look for the folder that is created when Storyline is installed called "My Articulate Projects"
Feel free to let us know if you need anything else!
Is it possible to identify the name and/or location of the original project file from the published output? I'm in a similar predicament - I have access to the same computer network as the original file creator but not the individuals computer files that would have been stored on a local drive. I can locate the zip file and wondering if there is anyway that the project file name/location could be identified from this?
The .story file is not stored as a part of the published output, so there won't be a way to extract it from there and the .story file may not have been saved with the same file name as they published with - so it would be hard to determine it.
