Redirect swipe functionality to another page

Aug 08, 2019

Is the a way of changing the swipe functionality so that it doesn't go the next page but rather to a different page. I have have a course I am working on that has been structured in such a way that the user is redirected to the module journey slide at the end of each section. The module journey outlines the different sections in the course and highlight which ones have been completed and which ones still need to be done. I want my course to be accessible on mobile devices and I don't want to completely remove the swipe feature in the last pages of each section but i want to be able to redirect the swipe back to the module journey.

Is this possible in Storyline 3?

Hey Nomthi,

The information Susi provided here is right on target! In Storyline 3, you will want to use the trigger wizard to tell Storyline which slide the learner should go to when they swipe/click on the Next button:

We have a great resource about Triggers that I think you might find helpful: Storyline 360 and Storyline 3: Understanding States, Layers, and Triggers

Please let us know if you have any additional questions!

Hey Nomthi,

Thank you for reaching back out and sharing that screenshot!

What might be happening here is that your Slide Properties are currently set to not allow swiping. For the slide in question, if you navigate to the bottom right corner >> Underneath Slide Layers you should see a gear icon:

After clicking on that icon, this menu prompt should appear:

If the menu looks like the image above, you will want to click on the checkboxes to the right of Swipe to enable that feature. Now learners will be able to click or swipe next to continue!

Please let me know if you have any additional questions on this!
