repeat a slide layer in a series of other slide layers

Nov 14, 2018

Hello,

Articulate storyline:

I have a base layer with 3 slide layers. I start the slide layers with a button. So far so good.

On one of my slide layers I have animated a few objects using the animation tab in Articulate. On top of the animated object I have put a hotspot that can be clicked on to start the animation of the object beneath the hotspot. I have also put a gif-file on the hotspot (lies beneath the hotspot) to give an indication where the users has to click to start the animations. Everything works.

But... I want that on the end of the timeline, the animations go back in startposition. This means I want the playhead to restart at the beginning of the slide layer and give the opportunity again to restart the timeline. I have already tried a lot of things but nothing works...

All my slide layers + base layer have the option: Reset to initial state checked. So that can't be the problem.

Can you help me to resume the problem?

Hello, Anna!

It sounds like you are looking for a way to "reset" the layer so the learner can click the hotspot to view the animation again, is that right?

To do that, you'll need to close and reopen the layer to reset it to it's initial state. There may be a way we can set this up so the learner doesn't notice the layer is closing and reopening, but I'll need to have a look at your slide to be sure.

Would you mind sharing a copy of that slide with me in a new reply here?
