In a course comprised of multiple modules, is there a way to 'tag' individual modules as required (counting toward completion of the course) while leaving other modules as recommended (not counted toward completion of the course)?
Yes, the easiest way to do it is using T/F variables. You would assign a variable to each required module that would trigger True after the user has completed it.
In my attached file, I used a menu that locks the next button until the user has completed all the required training. Once the requirements are satisfied, the Next button becomes available, and the user can advance to the completion slide.
