Have you looked at using the "Retry" feature on a results slide? This would reset all the question attempts and bring the user back to a particular point in the course (you can determine which slide).
Otherwise, you'll also need to check the revisit properties for each slide to ensure they're set for "reset to initial state."
Hi, where do you do that? Can you do it for the entire course too, once the learner click the DONE button at the end. If he wants to do it again, it is reset and starts from the start again. Please help...
You could certainly enable a Retry button on your Results Slide that would both reset the results and allow the user to take the course again. Check out the tutorial here.
Hi Leslie, So there is no way to trigger a slide to "reset to initial state"? I have to "resume saved state" on my first slide so that all the images and variables remain each time I come back. However, I would like to reset everything on a restart trigger. Looks like I can't really do that.
Thanks Daniel and Leslie. I am resetting most of the variables but I have more than a few of them. It just seems that if you have trigger to "restart" the course, it should automatically reset everything. Or at least give you the option without having to add a ton of extra triggers. Maybe something for the next release?
What exactly isn't resetting when you click the Play Again button?
The "Restart Course" trigger on the Play Again button should technically reset all your variables. Could you test this link and let me know if the Play Again button resets everything for you?
The link seems to be working fine. Not sure why my version was not resetting the variables, but I was able to get it to work by adding a few triggers to the game over layer.
Glad to hear you're up and running, Bruce! I wanted to let you know it looks like your email signature came through when you replied via email. You can remove that if needed by clicking ‘Edit’ beneath your response. Here’s a quick Peek video if you need help.

Hi Ashley,
Thanks for the advice.
I'm still finding my way around and only started using Storyline yesterday.
Changing the revisit properties worked like a charm : ]
Have a great day,
Adam
Hi Adam,
No worries - we're all here to help.
When I got started with Storyline I found the tutorials here incredibly helpful, but don't hesitate to ask any questions!
Thanks, I will definitely check those tutorials out!

Hi Bruce,
Why not use "Reset to initial state"? but control your slide using variables? Then if you really want to reset everything, reset your variables?
Hi Bruce and welcome to E-Learning Heroes :)
Thanks for reaching out. Based on your description, it sounds like you know you can adjust the slide properties to 'Reset to Initial State.'
I do like Daniel's suggestion of using variables to hold the items that you need for navigating through your course.
Do you have a sample .story file that you could share demonstrating what you are looking to design so that someone can pop in to help you directly?
