I have become good at resuming variable data when the project is resumed, however for my current project I am walking my users through the project the way I want them to, because of this I am removing the player and player features from the project. When I remove both the menu and the Previous/Next buttons built into storyline the variable data is not restored when the project resumes. Has anyone else found this problem? If so is there another way around it?
This project is being done in Storyline, and does not have LMS envolvement.

To the right of your slide, you'll see a little cog wheel.
If you click on it, you can adjust the slide behaviour
check whether the status of 'When revisiting' is set to 'Resume saved state'
