I'd always recommend using the Import method Alex mentioned (and described further here), as copy and paste can be inconsistent.
I also know folks here are always looking for other timer examples, so if you're able to share here as well that would be awesome to take a look at what you created!

One way to do this is to save your story as a template and then import to the new project.
If your timer isn't too complex, then copy from initial project/paste to new project may also work for you. But to be safe, I would use option #1.
