There is currently no easy, built-in option to interactively rotate an object. Technically it can be done with hotspots and an object with custom states. As you move the mouse over the various hotspots, you change the state of the object which shows the object at a slightly different angle. See this example here. As the slider in the lower right is moved, the 'knobby thing' (an object with custom states) on the left seems to turn.
