I can see from another closed discussion that there was an issue after a certain Storyline update a couple of years ago that stopped the search facility in the player from working. I can also see from the same thread that this was later fixed by support in Storyline 360.
Has it also been corrected in Storyline 3?? I'm currently getting no results when I try it.
In the player control window, you can mark the box for search, to add it to your player. Since the search field is part of the Menu tab, it'll only appear in your published course if you've enabled the Menu tab. When you say you're getting no results when you try it, do you mean you can successfully include the search option, but no results appear when you search for something?
If you're comfortable sharing your file, I'd be happy to test it on my end. You can upload it here or share it privately in a support case. We'll delete it from our systems once troubleshooting is complete.
It’s the latter, I’ve included the search function in the menu tab but it’s not returning any results. I expect it’s probably something I’ve done, but I can’t think what it might be. I'll sen the file through the support link.
