I found a similar documentation that it was a known issue within Studio 13 - but I don't see anything yet reported to our QA team in regards to how the search functionality in Storyline should work/doesn't work. I'd like to report this to our team - and was curious if you had a sample file I could share with them? If you'd prefer to share with me privately I can send you directions on how to do so.
You can try creating an Articulate Project an adding some slides (whatever you want). Make a search of information included in the project and see how Articulate orders the results of the search.
