Is there any way (besides duplicating a slide) to have multiple instances of a topic in the menu without the selection of the second instance of the topic causing the menu to jump to the first instance of the topic?
I am used to creating help files where this isn't an issue. It would be great to have Articulate Storyline work the same way.
Any workarounds? Can we get this fixed in the next build?
I'm not sure I am following what you'd like to set up, and the behavior you're describing. Could you offer a bit more information or even an example of what you're referring to?
So it sounds like you want to jump to previous slides just be clicking on them within the menu? I'd say for the "slide 3" in the second heading I'd create it as a "faux" slide where the slide has a trigger to jump to the actual slide 3 when the timeline starts. It will still select the original slide 3 in the menu though.
If you're looking to set up something a bit more customized, you could look at creating your own menu on a slide and setting up the behavior as you'd like there.

Do you think this is something worthwhile for a feature request or bug fix? It would be great to have this functionality in the menu without faking it.
It would need to be a feature request, and you're welcome to share your thoughts with our produce development team. I'd suggest being as detailed as possible about how you'd like it to behave and look.

Hi Ashley,
Let's say you add two headings, under which there are 10 items each.
Heading 1 has Slide 3 as its first entry.
Heading 2 has Slide 3 as its first entry as well.
Clicking Slide 3 under Heading 2 expands Heading 1 to select Slide 3.
I hope that's more clear.
Thanks,
Jennifer

I will try your suggestion.
