Sending variables to a service like surveymonkey

Aug 12, 2015

Hi all,

My group is trying to find a way to make course feedback a mandatory part of our courses, that way we can get more feedback from each user.

We don't want to just embed the survey as a web object since we cant see if the user has actually taken the survey before moving forward.

Is there a way to collect the answers in storyline objects, save those answers to variables then send those variables to a service like surveymonkey to collect and report the data? If not does anybody have any suggestions on how to restrict navigation until the survey in a web object is complete?

Thanks!

Hi Jackson,

I suspect it may be something you could accomplish with Javascript - so for that I'd have to defer to the community. If you're able to report to an LMS, survey questions or quiz questions could be captured and reported as a part of the normal Storyline tracking process.

Best of luck with your project!
