Hello, I am fairly new to Storyline and am building a course for a client. While using the Sequence Drop Down Question template, the client is requesting that the user has 3 attempts and after attempting incorrectly 3 times, the correct answer pops up. So, the "incorrect" feedback will display 3 times and then after the 3 times, a button would appear that says "The correct answer is ...". Is that possible and if so can you please tell me how to do that?
You can have your sequence question have 3 tries and then make the Incorrect layer have feedback text, either built in or an additional piece of information.
I do have one more question if you would be so kind to help! I have attached a screenshot of one of the screens I am working on. The client wants it so that as you click on each yellow dot, the text box next to it pops up. The clients wants the text to stay on the page as you click on the triggers so eventually, the page will show all of the text for each yellow dot.
I realize you can make a different layer for each text box and create triggers on the yellow dots to show those layers. However, is there a way to make it build so that as each yellow dot trigger is clicked the text boxes show and stay on the screen?
I originally built this screen so that on layer 1 it showed the 1st text box, then layer 2 showed the 1st and 2nd text box, layer 3 showed the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd text box ... My concern was, say the user randomly clicked on layer 5 before clicking on layer 1, I didn't want the text boxes for layers 1 - 4 to show when that trigger was clicked. Does that make sense?
Also, the client wants to know if the yellow dots can pulse? I didn't think that was possible but figured I would ask.
Any help would be most appreciated!! Thanks so much!!
Have you tried using Markers instead of the yellow dots? (You could make them yellow.) These have a pulse setting and can look read (state) but I don't believe you can have them always display.
Alternatively you could use a dot and then use that to trigger changing the state of a text box from hidden to visible. I don't know about making a yellow dot pulse without it being a marker.
