I am having an issue with a published screen recording project. When I view it in preview, before publishing, it works great, once published, every time it simulates a mouse click, the screen image contracts then expands quickly.
Hi there, Alex. It sounds like there's a difference between the "placeholder" image on the screen recording slide and the actual screen recording clip. That shouldn't be the case.
How do you have your project hosted (web, LMS, etc), and in which browser(s) are you seeing this behavior?
If you can share a screen cast of this behavior, including the browser address, that would be great! Also, I'm happy to test out your .story file if you'd like to attach it.
Thanks for those details! Looks like you attached part of the published output here- would you mind also sharing your unpublished .story file with us for testing purposes?
Thanks, Alex. I saw the same thing when I tested your file. In the HTML5 output, the slide background "shrinks" with each new slide. The Flash output worked normally.
This is a software bug that we have reported to our team, and we’ll continue to keep an eye on it to evaluate how many customers are impacted and what impact it has on courses. The number of customers and depth of impact are two of the elements that help us prioritize bugs and fixes.
Thanks, Alex. It sounds like Chrome and Firefox are blocking Flash and directing to the HTML5 output. You could update and enable Flash in those browsers if you wanted the content to work properly there.

Hi there Alex! Sorry you're running into that problem, and I'm happy to help you sort it out.
Could you tell me a bit more about your file?
I'd like to give your file a test, if you don't mind sharing a copy with me. You can attach it in a new thread reply, or send it to our team privately here.
Thanks Crystal and Alyssa.
The issue is happening with every publish file type (LMS, HTML5, etc.). I've attached a copy, let me know if that works.
I will try another recording and see, but yes, it is only happening once I publish the recording.
Thanks for the help.
Hey Alex,

Really appreciate it!
You bet, here you are. Thanks.
If it helps, this was produced from one single screen recording.

You can have a look at my testing here!

Here's some more detail about how we tackle bugs. I'm really sorry that I can't say if this issue will be fixed, but you're in the right place to stay updated on this bug's progress.
I apologize I didnt test this before, but the published project works fine in Internet Explorer (sigh) but not in Firefox or Chrome.
Thanks.
