I am new to Storyline and I'm having an issue with my next project. For some reason, the slides will not move back to the previous slide. It will atempt to move back, however it will immediately snap back into the current slide. I've never seen this before.
Are you using the "previous" button or trying to access it from the menu? Are you previewing the entire course? Have you adjusted any of the triggers associated with the previous button? You'll also want to confirm that you're working on project files as described here. If the behavior persists after confirming you're working locally, can you share an example project here for us to take a look at?
I've tried using the Previous Button and using the Menu to move backwards.
In addition, I created a specific trigger for each slide associated with
the Previous Button. This is something that I saw discussed in a Storyline
Discussion, however, it didn't solve the problem for me.
My next step is to save and republish the project on my local hard drive
per your suggestion. Let's keep our fingers crossed!
If the project was on a network or shared drive, it may be the issue is in the file itself. I'd look at importing it into a new project to be sure and then also try to recreate the behavior on a brand new file.
In story view check the slides are not set to advance automatically. may be the are set to resume saved state and are jumping automatically back as the slide has already ended.
In addition to what Phil mentioned, if the file was on a network drive/shared drive, there may be issues with the file. :-( You'll want to test in a brand new file that you started on your local drive to be sure - and if you'd like we're happy to take a look at your file here as well if you want to share the .story file or even a few slides.
I have to say, the Articulate Discussions are a life saver! After viewing Phil's suggestions, I noticed that the Player Features were set to Custom for the Selected Slides as opposed to Player Defaults. I made the change to all slides to the Player Defaults selection and now my project is working properly.

Ashley,
I'm definitely at my wits end on this one. After following your
suggestions, the project still won't move back to the previous slides as
they should.
Moved the project to the Local Drive-CHECK
Imported the slides into a new project-CHECK
Banged my head against the wall-CHECK
In story view check the slides are not set to advance automatically. may be the are set to resume saved state and are jumping automatically back as the slide has already ended.

A special thanks to all involved!
Whew! Happy to hear that was it Tekela - and just a reminder, you'll want to ensure you're working locally on files going forward.
Absolutely! Thanks Ashley!
