I am trying to get my character to change expression (added as a custom state called "Not Confused") when a caption appears on screen, but it is not working for me. Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong?
When I previewed the slide in your Test.story, the character did change to the custom state when the caption appeared. In other words, it worked for me as is.
FYI: For that sort of change, you could use a timeline cue point for the "when" in the trigger (instead of "when object enters slide"). You can see that in an edited version of the slide in the attached file.

Its suddenly working for me as well now. I'm guessing it was just a glitch and reopening the file fixed it.
Thank you for the cue point information! I did not know that was possible and now I'm excited to try it out!
