Story file from web published version

Hello Community,
I'm looking for a solution that I'm not certain actually exists. I built a course in Storyline and published it for web delivery for course review. After some changes to a process, it was determined that the finished course wouldn't be needed, so I didn't back it up anywhere. My external hard drive died and with it, the original story file.
Now, a few months after abandoning the project, there's interest in resurrecting it. Is there any way to get back to a story file from a web content file? My guess is that there is not, but before reinventing this particular wheel I thought I'd throw it out there to see if a guru could help.
Sceptical, but with hope...

Sorry there is no way to 'reverse engineer' a published file back into a .story file. If your published project contained videos or demos, you maybe able to salvage these .mp4 files from the published folder. Anything else needs to be recreated :-(
Thanks for the quick response. I figured that would be the case. The good news is that my customer decided that the web version "as is" will work for her, so I don't actually have to make any changes!
That is good news Joyce! Happy Monday to you
