I have managed to get slides in different sizes in the same project (see attached image) and I don't know how. I wish for all the slides to be the same size, the smaller which is standard. The course is set to 4:3.
Also, when reviwe the quiz to see the questions I got wrong, the bigger slide is now normal size and when I hover over it, it flickers between the bigger size and the smaller size.
Does anyone know how to get them all back to the same size?
Thank you for sharing what you are experiencing and for providing that screenshot! Let's see if we can get you on the right path here. 😄
From the Story View, if you navigate to Design >> Then click on Story Size >> what are the current settings being used for your Story Size? Is the Lock Aspect Ratio box checked?

Quick question. I'm looking for the opposite of what the user is asking above. Instead of fixing slides of different sizes, I want to have one slide in the course with a different size.
Use case: Storyline interaction imported into a Rise course that offers learners a chance to think through how they will construct a product pitch. Learners are asked five questions, one question per slide. They type their answers in a text entry box on each slide. I use variables (I already know how to do this) to collect their answers onto a single slide (slide 6) and give them a Print button so they can print or PDF their answers to be used later during a Capstone exercise.
I'd like slides 1-5 to be standard 16:9 layout. I'd like slide 6 to be approximately letter/A4 size.
But I can't figure out how to change the size of one slide without changing all the other slides. Can you help?
This isn't currently possible in Storyline 360 but I'm sure others have achieved something similar! I hope one of our community members will jump in and share if they've designed similar!
Very good, I am looking for the same thing as the previous user, do you know anyone who has managed to have two slides of different sizes? Thank you very much”.
I'll add to that request for how to make differently sized slides, as I need to print a certificate that is landscape letter-size, but have the course set to 16:9 at 1920 x 1080. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I would like this feature as well as I replicate software windows of varying sizes that a user sees. Another vendor we used for content creation had this capability.
I'm in both situations. I have one course that has slides of different sizes. I'm now trying to do the same in another course and can't figure out how I did it in the first course.
Would you mind sharing a copy of your project file that has slides of different sizes here or through a support case so I can take a look at how it was designed and built? Normally, having slides with different sizes isn't possible since the Slide Size setting affects all slides. I'm curious to see how this was done on your project file!
Oh, I'm a goof - you are correct. The slide sizes are the same. I used other Optical illusion /design techniques to make slides with less content appear more landscape and slides with more content to appear portrait. I did it well enough that I confused myself, ha!
Too funny! No worries, Tony! Always great to hear what creative designs our community is working on!
Were you able to get things sorted out with the slide sizes? If you are still having trouble, feel free to share your .story file in this thread or privately in a support case!

I do want to mention as well that the player feature does add some width and height to the published size.

Have a great start to your week! 🎉
Why can't we have slides of different sizes? This should be possible!
