Storyline 1 Publishing problem

Jan 05, 2015

HYN!

I have a course with 2 scenes. When I publish to the web and view in my browser I only see one scene.  Also, the slides are mixed up; some from the first scene and some from the second.  Thought I was following all the tutorials, but still not working.  Thanks, Diane

Hey newbie ;-) no worries.  The .html is your published output file - no use to troubleshoot.

I am after the storyline file you are working on to develop so that is the one on your hard drive with the .story file extension.  There is an Add Attachment button here on the forum, it doesn't work if you are trying to attach through email.

Hi DIane

you should just be able to click the add attachment button here and it will upload.  Loads of bigger projects have been uploaded to the forum.

Just checking:

  • are you working on your local drive and not from a network drive or usb - that can sometimes cause erratic behaviour
  • can you post a screenshot of your story view.  Are the scenes linked together so that when one scene finishes it navigates to the next scene?

Hi Diane

Is the Tree Ordering Process or the Tree Caller Introduction the first scene?

Where should I go when I get to the end of slide 1.15 and click

  • button Tree Ordering Process
  • button Online System
  • button Customer Service Tips

Where should I go when I get to the end of slide 2.11 and click

  • button Tree Ordering Process
  • button Online System
  • button Customer Service Tips

Hi Diane

I did a cut and paste in Story View so that the Tree Caller scene is the first scene and the Tree Ordering is the second scene.

I also updated your first slide so that the 'group' is the trigger to move to the next slide - just having the arrow as the trigger and having that arrow in a group sometimes means that the arrow won't be accurately clicked on by the learner so they won't progress. You'll see what I mean. This is how the menu looks now with Tree Caller scene first then tree ordering process. I have attached the updated story file for you
