Storyline 2: Accented words issues in reporting

Nov 02, 2017

Hi Heros,

I am designing French courses with Storyline 2 and I have issues with the reporting data in our LMS. We are using Scorm 4, 3rd edition.

Here are examples of data extrated from the LMS showing the issue with multiple choice questions.

Here is a question correctly reported with all the good accented words (e.g., «é», «l'». «à», etc.)

cmi.interactions.2.description Question 3 de 10 Placez en ordre les 4 étapes de l’arbre décisionnel pour déterminer si un article est récupérable ou non. Glissez et déposez les énoncés pour établir l’ordre.

This is how the learners answer is reported.

cmi.interactions.2.learner_response 1[,]D_terminer_la_valeur_au_jour_du_sinistre_de_l_article_pour__tablir_si_les_actions___prendre_ne_d_passeront_pas_cette_valeur.[,]2[,]undefined[,]3[,]Valider_si_l_assur__d_sire_que_des_actions_soient_entreprises_pour

It should have been reported like this:

cmi.interactions.2.learner_response 1[,]Déterminer_la_valeur_au_jour_du_sinistre_de_l'article_pour_établir_si_les_actions_à_prendre_ne_dépasseront_pas_cette_valeur.[,]2[,]Établir la catégorie d’eau impliquée et la porosité de l’article.[,]3[,]Valider_si_l'assuré_désire_que_des_actions_soient_entreprises_pour

So the questions are well reported but all the learners answers and the correct answers are presented with accented words missing.

One last thing, I've set the Spelling Options (in Storyline Options) to "Allowed accented words (e.g., Être)".

Could someone help me?

Thanks
