Storyline 3: Quiz completion setttings?

We need to publish an online training on SL3. We have set all the pages and triggers&layers but when we preview the test, if the user cannot pass the exam and return to the beginning of the test pages, he/She cannot re-complete the test once again. How can we adjust that?
One more question, we do not want the users to pass all the content pages without reading the content and jump to the test page. Where and how can we set a rule for that? In each and every single page or is there a quick way to adjust so that users will need to read all the pages before completing the quiz?
Thanks

Hi Defne,
To give learners an opportunity to retake a quiz, add a retry button to your results slide. This button will give learners an unlimited number of attempts to retake the quiz. (To limit the number of quiz attempts, see this user guide.)
And to ensure learners view all of the content on a slide without skipping ahead, use restricted navigation. This means learners can view the current slide and any slide they previously viewed, but they can't use the menu or the Next button to jump ahead or skip over slides.
If you also want to restrict the player navigation buttons, mark the corresponding box to Restrict Next/Previous buttons.
Hi ,
I have created a new content on Storyline2 . I have imported it from powerpoint and there are some reference documents embedded on the page. I want users not to be able to move forward on pages, without opening them. How can I put this trigger?
Also I have added a mini quiz at the end of the content and added a results slide, however I cannot enter the correct answers of some of the multiple choice questions. I want users to pick answers submit the test and at the end to see the results slide (if they pass 80% they succeed if not they need to retake the test until they pass.
Can you please guide me accordingly?
Many thanks
Defne
Hello Defne,
Sounds like the reference documents may be linking outside of the course perhaps? You should still be able to set up some variables and triggers to prevent the user from moving on if needed.
I'm not sure why you would not be able to enter the correct answers on your quiz slides. Have you looked at these in form view?
Hi,
I have finalised my online content on Storyline 3. Have some questions before uploading it? When I preview the entire project the order of the pages are problematic, when I preview them one by one in preview this page mode, there seems to be no problem. Which one is the correct? Also I cannot open the button links in preview mode is this normal?
Hello Defne,
You mention the order is problematic? Did you set specific 'Jump to Page' triggers? Many times a Resetting of the Menu takes care of this:
Yes, the preview not displaying hyperlinks correctly is normal behavior. Check out this tutorial for assistance.
Hi,
I cannot see the notes sign you have showed above on the preview- storyline player and I cannot change the order of the project preview. I tried to publish the content but when I test, still the problem continues. When I preview on page basis, there seems to be no problem but when I test entire project there still is problem with jump to page triggers.
Cant you connect to my screen and help, I am losing time by trying to find out the system and running late with my deadline.
Waiting for your urgent and live support
Thanks
Defne
Hi Defne,
We don't have an option to see your screen, but if you can share your .story file we can take a look at how it's set up and what may be happening? Upload it here using the Add Attachment button and then staff or folks in the community can take a look.
