Storyline 360 Preview / edit slide Version 3.73.29904.0 does not edit the current slide shown in the preview when editing a slide from a different scene than the scene the preview was launched from.
If you preview multiple slides, then click edit, you will edit the last slide shown, even though the story view will show the starting slide as selected. To avoid this, rather than edit slide, choose close preview.
If I am on the first slide of my project and preview the entire course, if on the 10th slide for example, If I select "edit the current slide shown in the preview" or close the preview, I will still be on the first slide.
It sounds like the edit current slide button is not returning you to the correct slide when exiting preview mode. I’d love to help you troubleshoot this!
Testing it out on my end (Storyline Version 3.73.29904.0/Windows Parallels on MAC M1) I was unable to reproduce the issue. Everything worked normally!

Are you experiencing this issue across all of your courses or just this one in particular?
