Storyline and Engage 13'
Jan 09, 2014
My request is simple. It's the solution that might prove difficult (or not).
Here goes: I have developed two accordion Engagements in Engage 13.
I want to launch these by using Storyline. I know that I cant import as before but I thought I could hyperlink interaction.html files to launch buttons inside Storyline. However, Storyline by default names everything the same.
This means I can successfully hyperlink one Engagement but as soon as I try the second, it's interaction.html file over-rides the first one.
Is there anyway I can get Storyline to place separate interaction.html files in separate folders inside
story_content/external_files/ ?
Alternatively, I find that I can rename interaction.html e.g. momentum_interaction.html and Engagement still launches. However, I cant rename any of the other files and folders in the same manner. Then Engagement does not launch. If I could tag each file and connected folder in the same manner - problem solved.
What to do?
Any ideas?

I'm probably missing something from your description, but I did this:
1. Create two Engage '13 accordion interactions and publish them
2. Rename the output folders ( I called the first one 'EngagementInteraction' and the 2nd one 'MomentumInteraction')
3. Create a Storyline file with webobjects that point to these folders
4. Publish Storyline (the two interaction folders end up being subfolders in story_content\WebObjects )
Here is the result (never mind the poor formatting): http://dev.keypointlearn.com/xcl71_SL/Redirect/SLRedirect/story.html
Is this not what you wanted?
Thanx Micheal
I got so stuck onto the idea of importing Engage into Storyline, that I completely forgot I could call it in as a web object.
Solution so simple, i just never thought of it.
Exactly what I wanted. thanx, once again.
Thanks for the update Alphonso, and until Storyline is able to import from Studio 13, the web object is the way to go.
