Storyline Character Packs from Elearning Brothers Templates??

Aug 14, 2013

Has anyone had a subscription to eLearning Brothers Templates? I was wondering how you found the service?  Or is it better to just outright buy the character packs?

Hi Anne,

I have a subscription to eLearning Bros. I have made use of a number of their games for my Learning Nurse website. Since I use a number of games, I have found great value in the subscription compared to buying individual games. Recently I also downloaded a StoryLine template which I used to create a popular game.

I have no complaints about their service. They have good video tutorials on how to configure their templates which I really like and use quite often. Finally, the have referred me to companies that have customized and enhanced their games to our specifications.

I guess it depends on how many of their products you plan to use whether a subscription or purchase is best for you. As for me, I have been very satisfied with both their products and service.

Russ, thanks so much for the feedback. I always love to hear recommendations from others before going ahead with something new like this.  Sounds like you are definitely getting value for money!

I'm interested primarily for the Storyline characters (but the templates will be great too).  If you subscribe for a year, use characters in a course, then don't continue with the subscription I assume you can continue to use the characters in courses you've already created but wouldn't be able to use them in new courses? Do you know at all how that works?

Thanks again for the feedback!

Our character packs are a bit different than the ones from Articulate. Ours are built into button states and you open the .story file. We create and release new cut-out people images monthly.

We've also been working on tons of new Storyline games and interactions lately. Members get the actual .story work files.

Hi Andrew,

I'm considering an ELearning Bros subscription. What does "built into button states..." mean exactly. I suppose the characters are not that differently difficult to install.

Sorry for the very late reply Celito...just noticed this post now.

We create a storyline file with a button. The button has 10 custom states. Each state is a different character pose/emotion. As you build content you can trigger the different states to show. Or just download any of our 20,000+ character images individually from our site and insert directly into Storyline.
