I tried to run Storyline content as HTML5 on an Android phone, it actually worked! See attached screen. Obviously, the playerbar controls are way too small for that screen size, but all the triggers, audio, animation, etc. behaved just like on an iPad. It would be nice to have a template/playerbar set with larger, 'floating' buttons, like the movie player controls on an iPhone.
As you can see this thread is a bit older, adn we'd first want to confirm that you're publishing for HTML5 or the mobile player as described here and then if accessing on an Android device using one of the supported browsers detailed in this article.
If you're still having difficulty could you share a copy of your .story file here with us and let us know how/where you're testing? Also any screenshots of what you're seeing vs. what you'd like to see would be helpful in determining what behavior is occurring.
I think I know what Hasan is talking about. Several years ago I had an issue that I contacted Articulate about where the display was off-centered on the Android screen. I'm pretty sure there is a fix but I do not recall what it is! I'll keep digging...
Hi, I am currently developing for phones and tablets (HTML5). To ensure proper display on Androids, I have inserted code into the story.html file as indicated in a previous post by Dean Saunders at eCreators (http://community.articulate.com/forums/p/12333/89335.aspx#89335 ). The code adjusts the screen dimensions using a variable (I think.) Without the code, the full player did not display on the screen - it was cut off.
3 years ago we didn't offer support for android so that was likely for storyline 1 and therefore a modification of the published output. Thanks for finding and sharing with folks here though
This doesn't seem to be a problem with Storyline but with the iframe you use to display the content. If I run http://www.scilang.org/Storyline/Untitled1 - Storyline output/story_html5.html directly (OUTSIDE of the iframe), the content is aligned properly on my Android device.
