Storyline Locked

Not sure if anybody can assist with this, but will give it a try.

My computer froze down whilst I was working on a storyline project. The only way to exit was via task manager. I have rebooted the computer, logged back into storyline and attempted to open my project. When I open it, I get a dialogue box saying, "the project storyline is locked by another process". I hit the OK option and nothing happens. I have exited and rebooted, but to no avail.

Any other options to try.

Have you tried copying and pasting the project (from Windows file manager) to a new SL story file. Then try opening that new copy.

Hello, Paul. I'm sorry you're stuck on that error!

I'm with Gerry on that pro-tactic. I would start there and also check if there could be a process in your computer (such as file backup, security software) that is interfering.

Please let us know, and we'll explore our next steps from there!

I rename the story file and then I can open it.
